Florida Residency for Tuition Purposes

Residency for tuition purposes refers to whether students qualify for in-state Florida resident tuition rates or out-of-state resident tuition rates. It is the responsibility of the student and (not the University) to complete their Residency Declaration in their and submit all required documentation to prove they are eligible for in-state tuition rates regardless of the duration of their presence in Florida. An incomplete or unsubmitted residency declaration by the deadline will result in classification as a non-Florida resident for tuition purposes.
Students who are not U.S. citizens are required to provide acceptable documentation from the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration (USCIS) Services verifying their legal status while residing in the United States. Acceptable documentation includes, but is not limited to, Permanent Resident Cards (Green Cards), Employment Authorization Documents, or qualifying visa classifications.
All required immigration documentation must be submitted following admission to the University and must remain valid through the term of entry to be considered. Applicants with expired documentation are responsible for working with the USCIS to obtain updated, valid records.
Additionally, students who were previously classified as non-U.S. citizens but are now returning as U.S. citizens must submit official documentation reflecting their updated citizenship status.
The deadline for applying for a change in residency status, including receipt of all documentation, is the business day before the start of the term. Term start dates can be viewed on the . Students may appeal a residency classification decision by completing the Residency Appeal form available in their myWings. The completed form, along with all supporting documentation, must be submitted no later than the final day of the term for which the appeal is sought. All completed appeals are reviewed by the Residency Appeals Committee. The decision rendered by the Committee represents the 成人AV视频’s final determination for that term. Students may pursue judicial review of this final decision in accordance with Section 120.38, Florida Statutes.
