Online Accelerated Term Programs
Online accelerated term programs are fully online distance learning programs that offer courses in a shorter format than the traditional 16-week semester length. While the timeline is condensed, the academic rigor and expectations remain the same as full-term courses.
The shorter formats are known as parts-of-term (POT):
- Fall & Spring Semesters:
Courses are offered in 8-week sessions, designated as:
1H – First Half of the semester
2H – Second Half of the semester - Summer Semester:
Courses are offered in 6-week sessions, designated as:
Summer A
Summer B
Accelerated term programs are a great option for students looking to complete coursework more quickly while maintaining the flexibility of online learning.

The is a go-to resource for key dates and deadlines throughout the academic year. It includes important information such as:
- Class start and end dates
- Registration periods
- Grade posting timelines
- Commencement schedules and locations
- Deadlines for both traditional semesters and accelerated terms
Regardless of whether enrolled in traditional 16-week courses or shorter accelerated terms, the Academic Calendar helps students stay organized and on track.
- Students enrolled in courses across both parts-of-term (e.g., 1H and 2H or Summer A and B), payment for all registered courses is due by the 1H / Summer A deadline.
- If you register for 1H / A classes and pay by the deadline, then later add 2H / B classes, payment for those additional courses is due immediately upon registration.
- If you are only registering for the second part of the term (Fall 2H, Spring 2H, or Summer B), the designated payment deadline for that part-of-term applies.
