Application Process for Adding Classes to 成人AV视频鈥檚 General Education Program
Application Process
Faculty interested in proposing a course for inclusion in the General Education curriculum must follow a structured application and assessment process. This process ensures alignment with Florida statutes, Florida Board of Governors regulations and 成人AV视频’s institutional goals.
If you are interested in proposing a course be added to General Education for the academic year 2027-28 then you will need to submit the course proposal to the Director of General Education by no later than Nov. 21, 2025 in the fall semester (for new and/or existing courses) and no later than Feb. 27, 2026 in the spring semester (existing courses only).

Review Category Criteria
Each course must meet the core outcomes specific to its General Education category, as defined by Florida Statute 1007.25 3(d):
- Communication
Must afford students the ability to communicate effectively, including the ability to write clearly and engage in public speaking. - Humanities
Must afford students the ability to think critically through the mastering of subjects concerned with human culture, especially literature, history, art, music and philosophy, and must include selections from the Western canon. - Mathematics
Must afford students a mastery of foundational mathematical and computation models and methods by applying such models and methods in problem solving. - Natural Sciences
Must afford students the ability to critically examine and evaluate the principles of the scientific method, model construction and use the scientific method to explain natural experiences and phenomena. - Social Sciences
Must afford students an understanding of the basic social and behavioral science concepts and principles used in the analysis of behavior and past and present social, political and economic issues.
Address Experiential Learning and/or Digital Literacy
Proposals should demonstrate how the course incorporates:
- Experiential learning opportunities such as student research, leadership development, global learning or community engagement.
- Digital literacy components including artificial intelligence, information/media literacy, coding, data analysis, cybersecurity and ethical technology use.
Develop an Assessment Plan
Courses must include a detailed assessment plan that outlines:
- Expected learning objectives (must align with category outcomes and statutes).
- Methods and criteria for evaluating student outcomes.
- Schedule for assessment and reporting.
- Identification of responsible parties for interpreting results.
Complete the Application
Submit the course proposal with:
- Complete the
- A syllabus aligned with category outcomes.
- Completed assessment rubric.
- Statement of how the course supports university and state goals.
- Commitment to all sections of course using proposed description, outcomes, assessments, and adherence to state statute.
Committee Review
The General Education Advisory Committee will evaluate the proposal based on:
- Clarity and relevance of objectives.
- Strength of assessment measures.
- Contribution to the General Education mission and statutory compliance.
Institutional Approval
Approved courses must undergo final review by the university president, Board of Trustees and the Florida Board of Governors.
Ongoing Assessment
All general education courses must be assessed every year, with a report due every three years. Courses must remain in compliance with statutes, reporting and performance standards. Failure to meet these standards may result in removal from the general education curriculum.
