Groups:
Understanding Self and Others (USO)
The Understanding Self and Others (USAO) groups are insight-oriented groups that provide a safe environment for exploring personal growth through connections with others. This group is beneficial for those struggling with anxiety, depression, life transition issues and communication skills by facilitating a better understanding of self. Students gain insight into themselves and their relationships, allowing for the opportunity to provide and receive honest feedback in a therapeutic setting. Members guide session focus. Group meets weekly.
Expressive Therapy Process Group
Students express themselves using visual media to produce individual and group art in a confidential therapeutic setting. The creative process, resulting artwork, and group dynamics help students better understand themselves, learn effective communication skills, and improve relationships. No artistic talent is required, simply a willingness to engage in creativity and conversation so that group members may learn, grow, and heal. Group meets weekly.
Understanding Self & Others: Grief & Loss
A process group for individuals who have experienced loss and are seeking connection, self-understanding, and healing. While grounded in the shared experience of grief, the group offers space to explore a range of thoughts, emotions, and relational patterns that members experience within and beyond an experience of loss. Through authentic dialogue and mutual support, members help guide the focus of each session in a compassionate environment. Group meets weekly.
Adventure Group
Step outside the therapy room and into the outdoors! The Adventure Group blends nature, challenge, and self-discovery to help students build confidence, strengthen relationships, and explore personal identity. Using the outdoor spaces on campus, we'll step out of our comfort zones and into meaningful experiences. Each adventure includes time to reflect, connect, and grow. Group meets weekly.
