Aquatic Connectivity

成人AV视频 IERE receives National Fish and Wildlife grant for Aquatic Barrier Study

The 成人AV视频 (成人AV视频) Institute of Environmental Research and Education (IERE) is a key research partner in a regional effort to evaluate aquatic organism passage, floodwater drainage, and infrastructure conditions at road–stream crossings across three major river systems in Northeast Florida. Maintaining the performance and structural integrity of these crossings is critical to reducing flood risks and protecting fish and wildlife.

IERE faculty, research staff, and 成人AV视频 student researchers will assess more than 2,300 crossings using a standardized protocol. This work provides students with valuable hands-on field research experience while contributing data to guide infrastructure planning and improve ecological connectivity. IERE is collaborating with the Northeast Florida Regional Council and other partners on this project, funded by the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation. Additional partners include The Pew Charitable Trusts, the St. Johns River Water Management District, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, Jacksonville University, and the North Florida Land Trust.
