Artificial Intelligence and Business Development in Japan

This program provides Business and Engineering students with an opportunity to expand their global perspective by exploring Japan, a country renowned for its innovation, advanced technology, and rich cultural heritage. This course focuses on developing cross-cultural competencies while deepening students’ understanding of engineering and business practices within the Japanese context. It also raises students’ awareness of cultural assumptions and equips them to collaborate effectively in diverse, multicultural environments. Features workshops, guest lectures, and hands-on learning experiences, including cultural excursions and site visits, this program creates an immersive and enriching academic journey.

Program Overview

Travel Dates May 22-31, 2026 (Summer A)

Meeting Dates

Preparatory class meetings take place in the Spring 2026 semester.  Meeting days/times will be finalized by November and visible when you register for the 成人AV视频 course through myWings. 

Courses & Prerequisites

Coggin College of Business students choose one of the following courses for the summer semester:

  • MAN4956 (prerequisite = MAN3025 or GEB1011)
  • MAN6957* (prerequisite = graduate standing in the Coggin College of Business)

*This course is pending final department approval for this program.

Participants

Up to 10 成人AV视频 students who meet the above prerequisite(s) for their level.

Cost

Students pay for three credit hours of 成人AV视频 Summer 2026 tuition and fees for this study abroad course plus a program fee to cover most travel expenses.  For details on the program fee, contact the faculty leader(s) below.

Planned Visits

Visits planned as part of this study abroad program include the following:

  • University of Tokyo lecture ()
  • RED Tokyo Tower amusement park
  • Shinkuma Lab workshop
  • Chiba Institute of Technology’s Tokyo Skytree Town® Campus
  • Traditional tea ceremony and kimono rental

The above visits are tentative until finalized closer to travel dates.

Logistics

While in Tokyo, students will be in shared group accommodations with shared bathrooms, separated by gender. Travel will mainly take place by Tokyo's excellent public transportation system.  Accommodations, breakfasts, in-country transportation, and activities/entrance fees required by the course are included in the program fee.  Students may book their own flights with the guidance of the faculty leaders.

Note: This program requires a brief, informal interview with a faculty leader.  Students will be notified of the interview process after they have submitted an application.
