Kinesiology Accelerated B.S. to M.S.H. Program

成人AV视频 students in the Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology (B.S.-KIN) can apply during the spring or summer of their sophomore year to begin an accelerated pathway to the Master of Science in Health in Kinesiology and Lifestyle Medicine (M.S.H.-KALM). Eligible students can earn a B.S. in Kinesiology followed by an M.S.H. in Kinesiology and Lifestyle Medicine.

The Accelerated B.S.-KIN to M.S.H.-KALM Pathway is available to current 成人AV视频 Kinesiology students, current 成人AV视频 students who plan to enter the B.S. in Kinesiology, and transfer students who intend to pursue the B.S. in Kinesiology at 成人AV视频.

Applicants must meet the B.S.-KIN and accelerated pathway eligibility requirements before beginning the 4+1 coursework.

Pathway timeline

Complete both degrees in approximately five years

The accelerated pathway helps students move into graduate study sooner. Qualified students may count up to 15 graduate credit hours toward both degrees and complete the full pathway with 144 total credits.

  • The B.S. Kinesiology requires 120 credits and the M.S.H. Kinesiology and Lifestyle Medicine requires 39 credits. Through the accelerated pathway, up to 15 approved graduate credits count toward both degrees, reducing the combined total from 159 credits to 144 credits.
  • Students may apply to the accelerated pathway once they are on track to complete all required B.S. Kinesiology prerequisite and lower-division requirements before beginning the accelerated coursework.
  • Applicants must also meet the pathway’s GPA and must have attained junior standing, defined as a minimum of 60 earned credits, before beginning the accelerated 4+1 coursework.
  • Complete required B.S.-KIN prerequisites and applicable lower-division requirements before beginning the pathway.
  • Attain junior standing (minimum 60 earned credits) before beginning accelerated coursework.
  • Begin approved graduate coursework while completing the B.S. in Kinesiology.
  • Complete the B.S. degree before transitioning fully into the M.S.H.-KALM graduate year.
  • Complete the remaining graduate coursework to earn the M.S.H. in Kinesiology and Lifestyle Medicine.

Graduate Courses Taken Through the Pathway

Students in the accelerated pathway complete select graduate coursework during the undergraduate program. Up to 15 credits of B.S.-KIN major electives may be substituted with approved graduate-level courses, which then count toward both the B.S. and M.S.H. degrees.
