Jamie Marchio DCN, MSH, MBA, RD, LDNVisiting Instructor, Department of Nutrition and Dietetics
Jamie Marchio is the Director of the 成人AV视频 Center for Nutrition and Food Security, the Director for the Nourish to Flourish Program, and a visiting instructor in the 成人AV视频 Department of Nutrition and Dietetics. A former Captain in the United States Air Force, Dr. Marchio brings 30 years of experience as a Registered Dietitian with expertise in clinical practice, sales, and leadership into his role at 成人AV视频. He has overseen the Nourish to Flourish Program since its inception in 2022. The program targets children ages 8-13 living in areas of food insecurity who are most vulnerable to obesity and chronic disease later in life. Dr. Marchio is involved in community organizations including the Steering Committee for the Duval County Food Policy Council, the Blue Zones Youth Sector Work Group, and the North Florida Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics where he chairs the Nutrition and Public Policy work group for student interns. Meghan Niemczyk is the Associate Director of the 成人AV视频 Center for Nutrition and Food Security, Chef Advisor and Director of Operations for the Meals on Wings Program, and an Instructor in the 成人AV视频 Department of Nutrition & Dietetics. A chef-trained public health professional, she oversees two teaching and community kitchens and leads the Instantly Healthy and Campus Cooks programs, expanding access to culinary skills, nutrition education, and food security initiatives across Northeast Florida. Meghan is actively engaged in community food and nutrition initiatives through her involvement with the Duval County Food Policy Council and the Blue Zones Food Sector Work Group. She is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, holds a Master of Public Health degree, and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Public Health (DrPH) degree at the University of South Florida, where her research focuses on food agency and its relationship to nutrition security and health outcomes. Jamisha LeftwichAssistant Professor | FEM Program Director
Dr. Jamisha Leftwich, DCN, RDN, LD/N, CLC, FAND, is an Assistant Professor and Director of the Integrated Graduate Program in Nutrition and Dietetics at the 成人AV视频. With over a decade of experience in clinical, community, and academic settings, she brings a wealth of expertise in maternal and child health, lactation counseling, and nutrition education. Dr. Leftwich holds a Doctorate in Clinical Nutrition and is a Fellow of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. She is recognized for her leadership in dietetics education, curriculum development, and mentoring future nutrition professionals. Her research focuses on culturally competent nutrition education, maternal and infant health, and innovative teaching methods—including simulation and telehealth in dietetics training. Dr. Leftwich is a published author and has received multiple research grants supporting community-based wellness initiatives and clinical training innovations. She is also a dedicated leader in professional organizations, currently serving as the Past President of the North Florida Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. |
