Students installing mini sculpture park at the Jacksonville International AirportThe ³ÉÈËAVÊÓƵ’s Department of Art and Design Sculpture Program is the featured exhibitor in the Sky Gallery at Jacksonville International Airport, through April 30, 2024.

Multiple sculptures created by approximately 20 ³ÉÈËAVÊÓƵ students have been on display since Feb. 2 in the Sky Gallery, along with posters featuring maquettes – small models – of this year’s large-scale student sculptures currently on exhibit at the ³ÉÈËAVÊÓƵ Seaside Sculpture Park located at 480 First Street South in Jacksonville Beach, as well as those from 2023.

“This is a wonderful opportunity for our students to present their pieces of art for public enjoyment,” said Aisling McDonald, instructor at ³ÉÈËAVÊÓƵ’s Sculpture Program. “The sculptures help build an appreciation of art as well as foster creative and critical thought.”

The Sky Gallery is one of two areas located pre-security and is next to the Haskell Gallery in the central courtyard. The Gallery is open to the public every day from 5 a.m. to 12 a.m.

Sculptures from last year’s exhibition at the ³ÉÈËAVÊÓƵ Seaside Sculpture Park are currently being auctioned off with proceeds benefitting the ³ÉÈËAVÊÓƵ Sculpture Program.
