The BS/DPD and MS/DI programs are accredited by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, 120 South Riverside Plaza, Suite 2190, Chicago, IL 60606-6995, (312) 899-0040 ext 5400. Students wishing to become registered dietitians will also need to complete a post-baccalaureate degree experience in an ACEND accredited internship (supervised practice) program and pass a national registration exam. Internships are competitive in nature and range from 6 months to 2 years in length. Most of these programs require that applicants utilize a centralized computer matching process called D&D Digital.
Giving Back
Gifts to the Nutrition and Dietetics Department provide critical funding for student scholarships and enhance existing programs far beyond what is possible using state allocations alone.
